Yeah, this piece of work got all pissed off because of an add promoting better nutrition in school lunches. In the add it remarked how Obamas kids get health meal, why can’t I say’s the little girl. Obama popped his cork and yelled "the kids are off limits"…so asshole Obama, where were you when the left went after Palin’s family and kids???
I know right, I wanna market a Sasha and Malia genital mutilation/female circumcision doll just to spite him…it can have a pull string that will make it say "America is a downright mean place", and an optional child soldier accessory pack that has an AK 47, Kat, and hatchet for cutting off the hands of people who would dare vote.

Thursday, December 31st, 2009Are there any good pocket sized nutrition reference guides I can hand out to coworkers?
Thursday, December 31st, 2009Apparently telling my coworker "Bessie" that getting apple slices and caramel dipping sauce instead of fries with her double bacon cheeseburger and diet Coke is not choosing a "healthy alternative", as she likes to call it. I was hoping there was something official she might be able to use when deciding what fast food to eat three times a day.
My answer to all of these diet questions is laxatives. You know this. You’ve seen my amazing beach body.

Following A Nutrition Guide
Sunday, December 27th, 2009
As we have all no doubt discovered, diet plays an integral role in our weight, overall health, and even in our longevity. As more and more illness and disease are linked to poor dietary habits, we have had to take a good, long look at the way that we are eating and make crucial lifestyle changes in order to improve our health. And as we have found, an essential part of eating healthy is following a fundamental nutrition guide.
Defined as eating in a way that delivers all the essential vitamins and minerals that our bodies need to be at their most efficient, healthy eating requires a committed focus on basic food groups. A good nutrition guide to follow is that which makes use of the freshest, most seasonal ingredients on the market. Focus your meals and snacks around whole, natural foods such as fresh fruits, green, leafy vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Additionally, low-fat dairy products will provide the calcium crucial to a body’s health.
Further, in following an effective nutrition guide, drink at least eight glasses of water every day to help flush your system and hydrate your body. Water acts as a natural appetite suppressant, speeds the metabolism, and aids digestion.
Any nutrition guide will recommend minimizing – if not eliminating altogether – your consumption of fried or processed foods or foods high in salt, sugar, or saturated fats. When it comes to eating healthy, the simpler the better. Food in its most stripped down form – whole and unprocessed – is the healthiest choice you can make for your body.
In some cases, you may have a particular vitamin deficiency or other nutritional needs that require additional support. If you are unsure about your diet or how to go about making the necessary lifestyle changes to support good health, see a nutritionist. An effective, reputable nutritionist will help you develop a nutrition guide that works for your lifestyle and meets your body’s individual needs.

Kids Fitness and Nutrition – Learn How to Keep Your Kids Healthy and Happy
Sunday, December 27th, 2009
Kids fitness and nutrition should be at the top of your list as a parent. It can often be hard to get your children in the right mood to want to exercise and eat well though. So what can you do to keep your kids happy and healthy? There are a wide variety of ways that you can incorporate fitness and nutrition into your children’s lives without them being resentful or pulling away. The ideas below will help you learn some fun and sneaky ways to get your kids into a healthier state of mind.
Make it Fun
Children never want to do anything they are told, so you have to make kids fitness and nutrition fun if you have any hope of turning them into healthy individuals. You can make fun faces out of fruits and vegetables on their plate, or invent some fun activities that they can do with their friends in the backyard. The key is that it should be something that they would ask you to do not something that you would ask them to do.
Let Them Help
This technique works especially well when you are trying to get your children to eat healthy, but it can work for fitness just as well. Get your children involved in the kids fitness and nutrition routine. They can help you make healthful meals, or plan a family outing that includes lots of activity. Whatever it is, make sure that you do it together. They will have fun getting your attention and getting to call some of the shots, and you will get a healthier and happier child.
Get Up and Move
Too many families have gotten into the routine of sitting around the house when there is a day off. You can’t expect your children to be interested in health and fitness if you aren’t. So, instead of planning a day on the couch with a movie, why not take the weekend to go camping and hiking outdoors. This will be an enjoyable family trip, and will get you and your kids up and moving.
Try Being Sneaky
Sometime you have to pull out all of the stops to ensure that kids fitness and nutrition is a success. If your children absolutely refuse to each vegetables, then sometimes you have to sneak them in. Now there are even products on the market that can help. For example, there is juice that now comes with vegetables in it but it still tastes like fruit juice. If your children are old enough to read the bottle, just pour it into a container before they can see it. Every little bit helps when it comes to keeping your kids healthy.
The key to kids fitness and nutrition is to do it as a family and to make it fun. If you can get your children involved in the process, then half the battle is already won. Take the time to look over the ideas above, and start focusing on healthier and happier kids today.

Remember a 70s show a curly haired guy in a skin tight outfit with inner organs on it would talk about health?
Sunday, December 27th, 2009It was on PBS I think and his outfit was like the immer digestive tract painted on a skin colored spandex bodysuit and he talked to kids about health and nutrition….what was it called?
Slim Goodbody ("the Superhero of Health") is a fictional character created and performed by John Burstein. Slim is a human adult who wears a flesh-colored body suit with various tissues, organs and organ systems painted on it. Burstein created the character in 1975. At that time, Burstein was working at The Floating Hospital in New York City. He began writing songs and skits to entertain the children there and to teach them about anatomy and the workings of the human body. He eventually added an organ-painted body suit to the design, dubbing his alter-ego "Slim Goodbody".
Burstein soon took his character outside the hospital. In his earliest days, he mainly did personal appearances and guest spots on shows such as The Today Show and Good Morning America. His skits also focused on exercise, personal hygiene, and nutrition.
Slim Goodbody eventually received his own television series in 1980, Inside Story on PBS. The program mainly consisted of Burstein’s live-show Slim Goodbody sketches, though other children’s show celebrities such as Captain Kangaroo would sometimes make guest appearances. The show soon became the station’s second-highest rated program, and Burstein landed roles on other stations, including Nickelodeon. Since then, Slim Goodbody has featured in several other series, as well. At one point Slim Goodbody began making educational shorts on such subjects as the fear of visiting a hospital, amongst others. One of these shorts featured Burstein’s son, Devin, as a child learning about hospitals as he overcomes his fears of an upcoming operation.
Beginning in 1982, the character has also appeared in books published by McGraw-Hill, Putnam, and Fairview Press.
Over the years, Slim Goodbody has also addressed child obesity, bullying, personal safety, self-esteem, literacy and environmentalism.
Today, Burstein tours the United States and Canada dressed as Slim Goodbody and performing in The Musical Health Show and Dinosaur Days!. Slim Goodbody also has a sidekick named Bill Strong. Five different actors play this character, allowing Burstein’s program to reach a larger number of children. Burstein is the only actor to play Slim.
Burstein and his Goodbody programs have won numerous awards including the Parents’ Choice Award and the Healthy American Fitness Leader Award.
