Downloading p90x nutrition guide from thepiratebay.org?

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

I’ve never really downloaded anything from this site and I don’t understand how to use it, and I don’t know what seeders or leechers are, is that a good thing? Cause the one I want to download says it has 261 SE and 2 LE.

Are there any things that I should know downloading from here. Thanks

First off, most torrents are illegal as the content requires the user to purchase a license but what the hell XD

1. You’re gonna need a piece of software to actually open up the torrent files, I recommend utorrent (will link in sources)

2. A seeder is someone who has the file and is sharing it with those who are trying to download the file and a leecher is someone who is trying to download that file, by the loooks of this torrent, there are 261 people currently sharing this file and only 2 people downloading it. You should get a pretty decent download speed for it overall.

3. Scan the downloaded file for viruses just to be safe

4. Open your file and enjoy

5. Remember to seed! :D

Canine Pregnancy Guide

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

In many ways canine pregnancy is not that different from human pregnancy, although it is somewhat shorter, averaging sixty-three days. A dog’s diet, as well as their consumption of medicine needs to be monitored during pregnancy, just like a woman’s should be, and you may notice changes in your dog’s emotions and social behavior. She can even experience morning sickness!

Most dogs will gain 15-25% of their original body weight during pregnancy, although this does depend on the number of puppies they are carrying and some do not put on noticeable weight until the last week before whelping.

Nutritional intake needs to increase during canine pregnancy and lactation; your dog may even double the amount she eats. During lactation she will need a high protein puppy food, and you may want to gradually introduce this during the last two weeks of her pregnancy, or even earlier. If you are concerned about providing the right pregnancy diet to meet your particular dog’s needs you should consult your veterinarian.

You should try to avoid nutritional supplements during canine pregnancy, even though these may seem like a good idea. Your dog will naturally produce everything her puppies need to thrive during lactation, and supplements may interfere with this process. This is particularly applicable to calcium supplements. If you use a good quality, high protein dog food, supplements will not be necessary.

A lot of canine medication is safe to use during pregnancy. If you give your dog regular preventative medication for heartworm you should continue this throughout pregnancy and lactation. Some medicines to get rid of other types of parasite, such as hookworms or roundworms, can be used but you should consult your veterinarian before administering these. It is important that your dog does get treatment for these conditions as otherwise she can pass them on to her unborn puppies.

Vaccinations should not be given during canine pregnancy. However, if possible, it is a great idea to have your dog vaccinated just before becoming pregnant as this will ensure she has a high level of antibodies to pass onto her puppies during lactation.

About halfway through her pregnancy you should take your dog to the veterinarian for a wellness check and to confirm the pregnancy. The veterinarian will be able to do this by examining the stomach, but a blood test can be done to provide a conclusive result.

You may want to have a radiograph done three weeks prior to the deliver to count the puppies. Knowing how many puppies to expect will help you to prepare for the delivery. Remember that your dog can become pregnant by more than one male during any one heat stage so you may be surprised at the number of puppies she is going to produce.

During the last three weeks of your dog’s pregnancy you may want to isolate her completely from contact with other dogs. This will ensure she does not pick up the herpes virus. While this is usually harmless in adult dogs, it can trigger a miscarriage in your pregnant dog.

You may find she wants to stay close to you during this time anyway. She may dislike being left alone and will probably become more affectionate, if a little irritable. As the delivery date approaches she will start to look for a safe place to give birth, and you should give some thought to where this will be.

As with human pregnancy, it is important to remember that canine pregnancy is a natural process, and your dog has been blessed with the natural ability to carry it through. With a little extra attention to nutrition, and some protection from common diseases, this should be a stress free time for you and your dog.

Wake Up to the Smell of Breakfast

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

As we often hear health experts say, we need to eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper. However, for many busy individuals even the most basic breakfast is impossible, especially when one has to wake up at 4 am just to catch the early morning commute. Add that to preparing packed lunches for the kids and getting them ready for school and it almost always adds up to rush, rush mornings.

This is a scene that is replayed in most homes each weekday morning. Despite the fact that most people are guilty of rushing through breakfast or just missing it altogether, we could not deny the fact that breakfast is the most important meal for the day, especially for our kids. After a long period of fasting through the night, it is the nutrition that we get at breakfast that will get us through our day. So yes, we do have to eat like a King.

To address the need for nutrition at breakfast, we now have a wide choice of healthy breakfast meals to choose from. We have cereals of different flavors, instant oats, instant waffles, instant everything. Even eggs now come in tetra-packages, ready to be poured onto a hot skillet for instant scrambled eggs. But then again, we can only have so much cereal and instant foods before we grow tired of it.

Luckily, we now have the option to wake up to the smell of breakfast, with a breakfast fit for a King waiting for us in the kitchen. How? Crock Pot breakfasts! When you know you have absolutely no time to make anything in the morning and you feel like you just cannot have another bowl of cereal or instant oats the next day, it’s time to take out your crock pot and whip up a breakfast casserole the night before. It will be warm, ready and waiting the moment you wake up.

Breakfast Suggestions

•Southwest Crock Pot Breakfast- With your Crock Pot you could choose to have a Southwest-themed breakfast with peppers, chilies and cheese and a whole lot of sausage. Prepare all the ingredients you want with your favorite Southwest-inspired recipes and layer them in your Crock Pot. Plug the Crock Pot in just before bed time and have sour cream or fresh salsa ready in the fridge. A hearty and hot Southwest Crock Pot breakfast could be just what you need to pick you up in the morning.

•Crock Pot Cobbler- Check out your fresh food section at the grocery or your favorite fruit market for the freshest fruits in season. Apples, peaches and pears make for great, warm, breakfast cobblers using your Crock Pot. You can use just one kind of fruit or mix it up! Combine fruit slices or chunks with granola and cinnamon, place in your crock pot and drizzle with a honey-butter mixture. The cobbler will cook through the night and will greet you with its sweet smell in the morning.

Making breakfast using a Crock Pot will actually be more than just a convenience for some. In areas where electric current charges are lower at night, Crock Pot cooking will also allow you to save up on costs.

So go ahead, eat breakfast like a king. There’s nothing better to get you through the day.

P90x question? No nutrition guide?

Friday, March 26th, 2010

So I bought just the DVDs from a friend. All 12 for 20 bucks. I think it’s coming in with the fitness guide but he has told me there’s no nutrition guide. Will I still get the results? I already eat healthy. I’m not even fat I just wanna get ripped. I’m going to buy the pull up bar in a few days. But without the nutrtition guide will I still get the results?

possibly, the p90x system has a fantastic exercise plan, However, diet is by far much more important than exercise for fat loss.I personally would still look for a nutrition guide to go with it though.

Carbohydrates and the P90X Nutrition Plan

A few words about getting carbs from fruits and veggies, rather from starch. I recently read an article on this topic featuring Joel Friel (google Joel if you don’t know who he is). Joel was on a bike ride I did yesterday and I wanted to share his theory on how to turn your body into a fat burning machine, rather than a sugar burning machine.
