Any one agree with concerning the word poverty?

Take a trip 'round the internet.

According GNB (2007) Poverty refers to the condition of not having the means to afford basic human needs such as clean water, nutrition, health care, education, clothing and shelter unhygienic living condition etc.

And if poverty is defined differently from country to country then the word ”poverty” is too cheap and doesn’t do justice when we speck of suffering. In other words, it has become to loose & cheap like the word racist. I.e. you would never brand the act of marrying and showing preference towards someone of your own race “racist” (Analogy). So don’t pull that “poverty depends according to country” argument on me. It is simple to easy to pull a blanket expression on a problem non-existent in industrial societies.

So if this is the framework to go by, then why do we in the industrial world claim to have pockets of “poor “citizens when in fact it is families with low-income. I’m no trying to offend those struggle day in day making ends meet but we shouldn’t get hung up on the notion that Industrial countries such as the have people “Poor” people. All people Industrial countries have accessed basic clothing, water, shelter etc. the problem for those considered "poor" in Industrial countries is the level of financial means. So therefore we need to stop referring the “poor” of advanced societies as "poor" but rather low-income. Moreover, the term "low income" is misleading to; take for instance a graduate entering into their profession; they would be categorically low-income with a starting salary below the national average wage, but this term is much less flawed than "poor" because it denotes the single most problematic factor being finance and not other problems that really only exist in LED-Cs like malnutrition, lack of access to clean water, food, basic health care, basic education etc. When was the last time you about reports of malnutriion in low-income communites? NEVER. Please note that this was not written to bash low income families/people; I have no moral authority regarding their condition, but I have reservations concerning the wording to denote such a people.

Even many homeless people are not malnutritioned as there are usually homeless shelters but of course they still lack certain basic consumables. There are two ways in which people of develop countries can become malnutritioned:

1. By the denial of access to food/water i.e. if cruel parent deny their kids food/water effectively destroying their kid’s well being end in the end those kid’s life.

2.psycholgical problems; sufferers with anorexia novera or body dimorphic disorder

To conclude, i wrote this passage to address the need for us all to not get carried away with words an abuse them to our own liberal myths, concious, lies and governing polices. futhermore we should all one time in our lives take trip to any commutnies and them make objective arguments rather than rely on the media, school text books and other snake-like resources to make up our minds on issues poverty, discrimination, racism, conservatism, religion etc.

Yet people like, Bill Gates, Donald Trump and every single basketball, baseball and foot ball players get millions not doing anything. Plus some of those Basketball, Baseball and football players will turn down the money if it’s not enough. Such as if a player wants to play on a team for three years instead of four he’ll refuse the millions they offered to pay him. It annoyed me. Baseball, Football and basketball players don’t even work. They play and even if they get injured they still get paid. How is it possible that there is poverty in the world!

I apologise in advance cause i haven’t read the whole thing. My attention span is limited. But yes, world poverty is a huge issue. There has been alot of media coverage about it and people have donated billions. But you have to realise one thing, the countries alot of this money is going to has corrupt governemnts. In kenya for example, ministers drive around f@cking bentleys while hundreds of thousands are going hungry, dont have fresh running water or sanitation. Though it sounds mean, the countries that are in poverty need to help themselves and fix some of their own shit
