i am going to start the p90x and need to know how to use the nutrition guide?

Take a trip 'round the internet.

i currently bought the p90x but dont know half the stuff in the nutrition guide and was wondering if there is a better way to understand this or other stuff i can eat instead of what the book says? please help planning to start on monday 2-8-10

The nutrition guide is very daunting when first looked over. I went with the portion plan that they outline in the nutrition guide; therefore, I would not be restricted to the meal plan that, from what i’ve read, costs a ton to get all of those groceries. Simply put, you find out how many calories you will theoretically be expending in a day, find that level (I’m level II) on the nutrition guide and it will tell you how many portions of different foods you can have each day.

A lot of protein is needed, that is the big expense of this nutrition guide. Basically, if you ‘eat clean’ for the 90 days, No fast food, no carbonated beverages, no fried foods… you will see excellent results. Eat a lot of vegetables and proteins (meats, fish) and use fruits as your carbohydrate sources and you should be fine.

Here is a printable shopping list that I put together for myself :

You’ll need to tweak it to match whichever level and meal plan you are following.
