I talk about different forms of sugars that are used in products and other packaging design/features a product uses in order to catch attention. This is an introduction to sugars and sweeteners that may be contained in a product. It’s presented in a “Vlog-ish” format.
Summary: There are many forms of sugars and added sweeteners. Some include Sugar alcohols such as Mannitol, Sorbital, Xylitol just to name a few. There are many different kinds of sweeteners used in products, such as high fructose corn syrup. If a package claims that it contains no sugar, it may be true, but you still have to look if they add alternative forms of sugars, and those are sugar alcohols. Added sweeteners are also used in substitution for sugars. So have an open mind when reading packaging labels and try to make sure you know what “alternative” forms of sugars can still do, whether it’s good or not. This summarizes the first half of the video.
2nd half of the video pertains to looking at other various info provided by the product’s packaging. Such as flavor, design, and others.
Enjoy the video!
